unit commitment (choosing the most efficient combination of units
for a specific plant load and head), and unit loading. These examples
are related primarily to plant optimization (ie, at the plant/powerhouse
level). Another level would be at the basin scale (multiple powerhouses)
and yet another at the unit level (individual head and efficiency
curves per unit).
